I think it’s a mistake for Marvel to stop making Avengers movies between phases and keep them exclusively as Saga closers

By the time we get to Kang Dynasty, the heroes that aren’t from previous phases will have little to no relationships with each other. Just think of what the Avengers movies established before Infinity War:

– The rivalry between Tony and Steve.

– Natasha and Bruce’s relationship.

– Hawkeye’s family.

– The first seeds of Wanda and Vision’s relationship.

– Accidentally created the starting point for Loki’s solo TV show.

And if you count Civil War as an Avengers movie, it also stablishes:

– The Avengers being torn, which is partially what led to their demise in Infinity War.

– Tony’s and Peter’s relationship.

– The set up for T’challa becoming king.

– The relationship between Bucky and Sam.

– Set up for part of the plot of Ant-Man and the Wasp.

That’s three movies worth of set up, by the time we got to Infinity War only Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel and the Guardians had no connection to everyone else, the Russo brothers could focus on the new story.

I hope this is not a problem for the new Avengers movies, but I’m not too optimistic.
