Best Collection/Omnibus to get the story before Absolute Carnage.

Hi, I’m an absolute Comic Newbie, I’m looking to try and buy the most comprehensive collection covering the Venom Story prior to the Absolute Carnage event. I’ve looked at the Venomnibus but I’m unsure if this is the correct book. Any advice would be so welcome!!
